Eoin Golfer „Imaginary Fred“

Did you read the title of this book as „Imaginary Friend“ and not „Imaginary Fred“? If you did, you weren’t so wrong after all, as Fred is actually an imaginary friend to the children who feel very lonely and wish they had a friend.

Fred is the best of imaginary friends but he disappears and becomes gradually invisible every time when his new friend finds himself a real friend. He is sad about that happening again and again. When Fred meets Sam, a boy who likes to read a book per day, who sometimes pretends to be French and writes comic books, they become such a good pals that Fred wishes it would last forever. Is it possible this time that Fred does not disappear or become invisible, even when Sam meets Sammi, a real new girlfriend?

If you like a warm and witty story with a lot of funny pictures, regardless of your age, then you should read this book. You might find yourself smiling at the end of the story, just wishing it was a little longer.
